Culture Change for Mental Health package

The Summit package, which includes an exclusive Culture Change & Performance programme, aims to find the key things in your organisation that are having positive and negative effects on everyone’s wellbeing. We help the leadership to identify the best areas to change to have the most positive impact.

We partner with you to deliver this programme over four years.

Why employers should strive for a mentally healthy workplace

  • Retain and attract the best people
  • Good for business with a potential return on investment of £6.30 for every £1 invested
  • It’s the right thing to do. By being at the forefront, you will not only see good ROI financially, but reputationally

We found that on average, organisation-wide (Universal) early interventions, such as culture change and raising awareness of mental health issues, provide the highest ROI, at £6.30 for every £1 invested.

Deloitte’s 2024 report

Kick off

We meet with you to get to know your organisation and the resources you have available to support this programme.

This could include Mental Health First Aiders, Employee Assistance Programmes, staff benefits, budgets, staff capacity, space available, current culture, remote working, anything else you’re already doing to support wellbeing.

Training

  • Supporting Mental Health training for all managers
  • E-Toolkit training for the whole organisation
  • Training courses from The Mental Health Toolkit suite

The Mental Health Toolkit: Culture Change & Performance

  • Culture Change & Performance gives a validated mental health measure (Emotional Needs Audit-15) based on the Emotional Needs & Resources approach, barriers & supporting factors to feeling well. Bespoke reportable groups, with options to tailor the questions to et to the bottom of your organisation, once a year for four years
  • Suffolk mind sends this to your whole organisation, including reminders to complete the survey

Workshops

  • A post-audit workshop through Culture Change & Performance is delivered with your leadership team to go through the data, that has been analysed by our research team. Deep dive into the areas that are having the biggest negative effects on employee wellbeing
  • During the workshop, we will work together to come up with actions address the needs of your team(s)

Reports

  • A written report and access to a data dashboard means that you have continual access to the analysed data discussed in the workshop

Supported change

  • Over the next 12 months your organisation will implement these actions and cascade the knowledge gained from the workshop to your staff. You are supported by check-ins, facilitation and marketing materials/support

Next cycles

  • This audit-action cycle continues for four iterations, giving your organisation time to embed a wellbeing culture over time, and see the effects of the action you took the previous year

Suggested handover

  • At the end of the programme, we facilitate a wind-down out of the service so you feel supported to maintain a culture of wellbeing after the programme has finished

What makes the Summit Package different?

  • This is the only package to include The Mental Health Toolkit’s Culture Change & Performance programme
  • Your employees will tell us what needs are being met, or not met, and what the barriers are through the audits. This enables us to create concrete and practical changes based on your organisation
  • In each post-audit workshop, there will be a ‘mini-teach’ (15 mins) that isn’t available through any of our other training – giving you a bespoke and personalised advice and support service
  • Since the programme is over four years, you don’t just get information about one point in time, but can delve deeper into the culture of the organisation and address things from the root
  • It involves hearing from the whole organisation so all staff can personally engage with and take responsibility on improving wellbeing for everyone
  • The Emotional Needs Audit isn’t just any other survey. It is useful to each staff member as it is a tool to support them to identify unmet needs, as well as the barriers and supporting factors. This can inform someone of the areas they can improve by making their own small changes
  • Culture Change & Performance works alongside other approaches to support wellbeing and supports the organisation to have a well-rounded strategy for wellbeing rather than separate schemes

Who are you?

The Summit Package is not something that can be ‘done to’ an organisation. To be successful, it needs full engagement from your organisation, and we need you to identify someone internal to lead on the programme on your behalf.

However, it’s also not something you will be doing alone. The data collection and interpretation, action creation and implementation are all fully supported and facilitated by us.

You may be an organisation who has already engaged with us and believes in the approach. You may be ready to get to the next level of embedding the approach into your organisation.

Or, you may be new to us but are keen to establish the areas of need within your organisation and address them. You are looking to create a sustainable culture that supports employees to thrive.
